Autism New Approaches
Bringing new approaches to vocational education and education period of autistic children in Turkey and European countries
According to the scientific definition, autism is one of the most serious developmental disorders. The origin of autism is still unknown.
The specific about autism is that it always affects the whole personality. Feelings, thinking and acting are all affected, which are reasons why autistic people can hardly find a way to interact with the environment. The people live in their own world.
People with autism can hardly cope with information that comes from the outside which can result in exceptional behavior.
Various therapy methods are applied in order to treat and alleviate the symptoms of autism. However the best treatment method is consistent, condensed and well-planned education.
Early intervention is vital for the preparation and the application of efficient education.
The aim of the project is to compare the various approaches towards autism in different European countries and to elaborate giudelines together which will be written down in a leaflet.
The duration of the project is two years and it is financially supported by the EU Commission.
