Each autistic individual has unique characteristics. They do not posses common behavioral characteristics. Despite categorizing in five groups in general, each autistic individual has behavioral problems, incompetent communication, and they are indifferent to the social environment.
Beside these, the autistic individuals diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, a kind of autism, have superior talents at art, mathematics, music and visual art.
The highest level of mental development, in other words the most rapid brain development occurs in the first five years of childhood.
The first five years of childhood affects the children's improving learning abilities. The seeds of their personality are build at that period. The education of the autistic children acquire at that period is more permanent.
The number of autistic children between 0-14 age range was estimated 125 thousands by 2009 and the total number of autistics from every age range is predicted approximately 270 thousands.
The number of the boys with the autistic spectrum disorder is four times more thatn the girls.
Various therapy methods are applied in order to treat and alleviate the symptoms of autism. However the best treatment method is consistent, condensed and well-planned education.
Early intervention is vital for the preparation and the application of efficient education.
